In this lesson, we’re going to take a look at how we can publish preview and update our site and our designs now. The first thing we need to do is: go ahead and publish the site that we’re currently working on. So we’ve logged into our dashboard and inside there we’ve got a project we want to make live. So all we need to do is hover over it, choose the three dots in the top right hand corner and choose the publish option. Once we do that, we can then choose how we want to go ahead and publish I’ve covered these four options inside their own dedicated video.

For this example, let’s just use the subdomain option, we click the choose button and then we can go ahead and customize the subdomain for this example I’ll leave it as it is, and click on the submit button and there we go. We’ve gone ahead and published our site. However, at this point in time we haven’t published any of the pages, so let’s take a look at how we do that: let’s go ahead and edit our project. This will take us into the editor and open up our home page. All we need to do now is come down to the bottom right hand, corner to our fly-out menu and inside there we’ve got the save draft button, we’re going to click on the little arrow to the right hand, side of the button, and we can choose the option to publish our page, we’ll click on that that will go ahead, save and publish this particular page when you’re ready to preview.

Your page, all you need to do is click on the preview button, we’ll click that’ll open, a new tab up and loading our page. There we go there’s our page in preview and finally, when you go ahead and make changes to any part of your design, all you need to do is click the update button and that will save all the changes you just made so now, you’ve seen how easy It is to update, save and so on. On the page you’re currently working on there’s other ways. We can actually go ahead and publish pages too. If we go to the hamburger menu in the top left hand corner.

This will show us all the assets, including the pages that we have throughout our site, both draft and published pages. As you can see, this contact desk page is currently not published. It’s still in draft mode. I can click to open it up and you see in the right hand, side it tells us is currently in draft mode. I can click to open this and i can choose the option between draft published and protected.

Let’s go ahead and publish this, and all we need to do is click on the update option. Our page has now been updated as well as being made published. You can also go ahead and preview any of the pages as well as update them directly inside this particular dialog box. You can see. We’ve got the update option, which you just taken a look at, but you can also click on the preview to open up the page that you’re currently looking at that’s a page, a blog post story, pop-up and so on.

All of those can be previewed, updated and published directly inside this dialog and finally, now that we’ve gone ahead and published several pages, if we go back to our dashboard and preview, our project, you can see, there’s our project as well as any of the pages we’ve got already published.
